Response to John McCain's speech
One of the most important and most powerful quotes of John McCain's acceptance speech was the quote regarding his status as a prisoner of war and his love for his country. McCain states "I fell in love with my country when I was a prisoner in someone else's." He goes on to say "I was never the same again. I wasn't my own man anymore. I was my country's."
